Whatever the season, University Parks always has a lot to offer its visitors. As well as just taking in the natural beauty of the flora and fauna, there are a number of points of interest to look out for. These include commemorative tree plantings, the Genetic Garden (which commemorates the contribution to genetics by Professor Cyril Dean Darlington), art installation Havel’s Place, designed to evoke the memory of Václav Havel (1936-2011) and designed as a modest place of rest and contemplation as well as several walks across the Parks to enjoy, all notable for their planting and for how they change throughout the year.
